Ok... That title is a bit misleading. We've been home for almost two weeks now. It's amazing how time gets away from you when you have a newborn! Hats off to all the mommy bloggers out there who manage to post consistently; I don't know how you do it.
We're happy to be home, even if the weather isn't quite the same as it is in Florida and our home doesn't offer housekeeping services like our hotel did. Our family and friends are also very excited we're back. Cassie has had numerous visitors and has had the chance to meet so many new people. She's adjusted well to her new home, new room and new life. Even our dogs were happy to meet her. Actually, Bentley our greyhound seemed very uninterested by the squeaky little human. Our shih tzu Pacha, however has been very "motherly" with our daughter. She likes to be close to where Cassie is and seems distraught when she cries.
The flight back was a huge success with Cassie gathering ohs and ahs everywhere we went. She pretty much slept the entire way and I'm happy to report we didn't have any major diaper incident. I will admit it was a challenge changing a diaper in a tiny airplane bathroom while there's turbulence, but we still managed. How someone manages to join the mile high club in those itsy bitsy bathrooms is beyond me!
That's the latest on our little family. I have several posts brewing in my head and I hope to post them soon... If Cassie lets me. I'll make an effort to post more frequently, I promise.
